KUWAIT: A fight in Nugra revealed the rape of an expatriate woman by two persons, who also beat her. A security source said that a patrol responded to a call about the fight, and a woman said her maid was beaten by an Indian. The victim was taken to hospital, then when examined, it was found out that she was not only beaten but also raped by two persons, and was highly exhausted.

Unconsented sex

The Hawally prosecutor ordered a case to be registered of unconsented sex after hearing the testimony of a Filipina woman who said that a citizen in his sixties took her to his flat. The Filipina, born in 1983, told Jabriya police the citizen lured her to his domestic help office, then to a flat where he assaulted her.

Hawally crackdown

Hawally security police set up checkpoints in Nugra, particularly in Othman, Mohammad Ali Al-Dukhan, Hassan Al-Basri and Ahmad bin Toaloan streets, where 305 persons were checked and 13 were found with expired residencies, 18 were absconders, 25 were without IDs and two debtors. A person in an abnormal condition was arrested, 45 traffic citations were issued and four vehicles were impounded.

Drugged driver caught

Patrols on Gulf road spotted a speeding vehicle, so it was stopped to issue a citation. The driver, a citizen, did not comply with the laws, and officers noticed a bottle suspected to contain liquor, in addition to three joints suspected of being drugs.
