Wishes for the year 1446 AH

If we let our minds think critically about what we hear, most rumors spread for various reasons, especially on social media, would disappear. Always make good use of your brains. If optimism prevailed in our hearts, the flame of rage that drives some people to incessantly criticize and insult Kuwait as if it were a failed country would subside. True failure lies within them.

If every employee complied with their job description and performed with a spirit of giving, most patron complaints would disappear. If each official prepared a time schedule with a list of duties and worked on implementing it, the wheels of development would move faster than they do now. If influential individuals stopped interfering for the benefit of their relatives, many citizens would receive their rights, and we would not waste promising energies on individuals who are unable to achieve success.

If some businessmen viewed Kuwait as a homeland, a refuge and a future, they would stop saying that every official has a price, and some people would not put their personal interests ahead of the country’s interests. If some officials stopped using their positions to collect unlawful money, state projects would not stall, and development would proceed at the competitive speed Kuwait needs.

If we all believed in Kuwait, we would express our love for it creatively in all aspects. If our differences were resolved maturely, without screams, threats and conspiracies, social security would spread among the people of Kuwait. If we prioritized the state above all else, we would begin the march towards a modern Kuwait where classism is eradicated. If we understood our religion without fanaticism, the country would have enough room for love among all sects, and the sectarianism that threatens the country would die. Twelve wishes, the same number as the months of the year. I hope they all become a reality.
