KUWAIT: A citizen on drugs attacked his family and destroyed the furniture in their Fahd Al-Ahmad house. His mother called the police to save the family from her son, who was beating them and destroying everything. Ahmadi police responded and subdued the man, who was on drugs. He was detained on charges of drug use and destroying property.

Mom reports addicted daughter

A citizen in her seventies had to call police to rescue her daughter from drugs. The mother did not hesitate in reporting her daughter to police, and handed her to a police patrol so she can be treated for addiction. The woman told police that her daughter abuses drugs, and had an overdose that made her go berserk. A patrol went to the house in Jabriya and they were allowed to enter and take the girl, who was found wanted by the Drug Control General Department (DCGD).

Loud neighbor

A citizen ignored his neighbors and played loud music, which landed him at the police station. The citizen, who lives alone in a flat as his family is on vacation abroad, was listening to loud music, so his neighbors asked him to lower the volume, but he did not. Neighbors resorted to the police, who summoned him for questioning.

Friends fight

Two citizens were in a Salmiya cafe having a good time, then all of a sudden one of them insulted the other with a barrage of cusswords and threatened to hurt her. The citizen who was insulted went to Salmiya police station and told them the fracas with her friend was about something 'private.' Policemen lodged a complaint and the friend is being summoned for questioning.

Deliveryman mugged

A deliveryman was stopped by a person who claimed he did not know the area and asked for directions. The deliveryman obliged, only to see the suspect pulling a knife on him and demanding his money. The deliveryman refused and resisted, so the suspect stabbed him in the shoulder before escaping. The deliveryman was taken to Jahra Hospital and treated for his wounds, then went to the police station to lodge a complaint. Detectives are working on the case.

Kidnap and assault

Jahra detectives began a search for four persons accused of kidnapping, beating and sexual assault. A security source said a bedoon man went to Taima police station and told them he was abducted, molested and beaten. He said that as he was leaving a cafe, a vehicle stopped with four persons inside who asked him about an address, so he got in the car with them. One of them then sprayed him in the face with something that made him drowsy. He later woke up in a sand yard with the suspects attempting to remove his underwear to rape him. When he resisted, they sprayed him again and tried to film him, but he escaped to the main street in a bad shape, then went to Jahra Hospital and got a medical report.
