Sheikh Mishal visits ministry of interior, Kuwait Fire Force

KUWAIT: HH the Amir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, on Tuesday visited the ministry of interior accompanied by HH the Prime Minister Sheikh Dr Mohammad Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah. HH the Amir was received by Deputy Prime Minister, Defense Minister and Acting Interior Minister Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef Al-Sabah and Interior Ministry Undersecretary Lt Gen Sheikh Salem Al-Nawaf Al-Sabah.

Addressing the ministry’s top officials, HH the Amir congratulated the ministry and its staff on the holy month of Ramadan, praying to Almighty Allah to bring back the holy month with Kuwait and its people graced with goodness and blessings. HH the Amir said security forces have a great role to play to preserve order in the country, calling on forces to stay alert at all times in order to prevent any possible danger and harm from happening.

“We appreciate the efforts of the ministry of interior in combating drugs and protecting our youth, which was crowned by the General Administration for Drug Control winning the competition for the best field cooperation and operational information at the Arab level,” said HH the Amir.

During the visit, HH the Amir urged the top officials to continue to develop and advance security work, raise the efficiency, capacity and readiness of security personnel, develop infrastructure, provide distinguished services to citizens and residents and continue to consolidate joint cooperation locally, regionally and internationally. HH the Amir also urged the digital transformation of all possible services provided by the ministry of interior in all its sectors. Undersecretary Sheikh Salem thanked HH the Amir for the visit.

HH the Amir Sheikh Mishal also visited the Kuwait Fire Force (KFF) headquarters on Tuesday. Accompanied by HH the Prime Minister Sheikh Dr Mohammad, HH the Amir was received by Minister Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef and Head of KFF Lt Gen Khaled Al-Mekrad. In his speech, HH the Amir congratulated all KFF staff on the holy month of Ramadan, expressing his appreciation to them for their strenuous efforts and sacrifices for the sake of the dear homeland.

“We evaluate the keenness of the KFF on achieving its missions in line with a five-year strategic document based on a scientific approach which studies reality and benefits from resources and potentials, seeking to achieve leadership and excellence,” HH the Amir said. He further expressed appreciation to the KFF for its approach in boosting cooperation between military and security bodies on one hand, and their counterparts in sisterly and friendly countries on the other.

HH the Amir called on the KFF to remain vigilant and cautious as well as ready to face the risks of fires and accidents. He also instructed KFF personnel to make sure of facilities’ safety and preventive measures to avoid fires. HH the Amir asked the KFF to keep pace with the developments and changes in civil protection and enhance preventive strategies as well as the plans of crisis management and disasters to reach the highest level of society security.

Mekrad affirmed that the KFF is following up the directives of the wise political leadership by implementing laws and rules for all, referring to cooperation with the state’s regulatory bodies. Mekrad confirmed to HH the Amir the KFF personnel vowed that they would continue protecting souls and property in the dear homeland by getting ready to face crises, accidents and disasters. He expressed high appreciation, sincerity, loyalty and obedience to HH the Amir and congratulated him on Ramadan. A documentary themed “Regional Leadership in Civil Protection” was shown. – KUNA
