KUWAIT: Representative of His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, Minister of Education Sayed Jalal Al-Tabtabaei affirmed that the International Invention Fair in the Middle East represents an honorable face for Kuwait and reflects its leadership in supporting innovation and scientific research, praising the distinguished organization of the event and the scientific participations that demonstrate scientific and innovative progress.
This came in a press statement on the occasion of the closing ceremony and the crowning of the winners of the 15th edition of the fair, which was held on Wednesday under the patronage of His Highness the Crown Prince, with the participation of 180 inventors from 42 Arab and foreign countries who presented 230 inventions in various scientific fields. Al-Tabtabaei explained that the efforts exerted by the Kuwait Science Club, the organizing body, at the fair reflect an honorable image befitting the name of Kuwait and the sponsor of the event, expressing his pride in the scientific achievements presented by the inventors.
He pointed out that the awards given to the winners were deserved based on the value of the inventions and their scientific and applied importance, stressing that the Ministry of Education supports Kuwaiti inventors and works to enhance cooperation with the Scientific Club and relevant institutions to provide the appropriate environment to develop their capabilities and motivate them to innovate. Minister Al-Tabtabaei stressed the importance of continuing such scientific events that contribute to building a creative generation capable of achieving sustainable development and raising the name of Kuwait in international forums.







For his part, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Kuwait Scientific Club and Chairman of the Higher Committee of the Exhibition Talal Jassim Al-Kharafi emphasized in a speech that the exhibition has become a global platform for creativity and innovation that brings together creative minds from around the world to exchange ideas and present innovative solutions to serve humanity.
Al-Kharafi added that the days of the exhibition witnessed inspiring stories of inventors and innovators, as the participants demonstrated how the human mind, when supported and guided, can overcome challenges and create solutions that transform societies. He stressed that honoring scientists and innovators is not just a celebration of them but a clear message that science is the foundation for facing future challenges. He added that no society rises without its scientists and does not advance except by appreciating them, as they are the torch that lights the path for future generations.
He also emphasized that the Kuwait Science Club will continue to support creativity and innovation, believing that invention is the path to development and progress and that investing in minds is the most valuable and lasting investment. Al-Kharafi expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the League of Arab States and its organizations for their first-time participation in the exhibition, which contributed to enriching the event and enhancing its role in supporting youth, innovation, and entrepreneurship in the Arab world. He also thanked His Highness the Crown Prince for his generous patronage of the exhibition and his representative, Minister Al-Tabtabaei, for attending and honoring the winners, in addition to the strategic partners and all governmental and private institutions supporting the exhibition.
In turn, the Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, Ambassador Jasem Al-Budaiwi, emphasized in a press statement that the GCC countries pay great attention to supporting Gulf youth in various fields, including innovation and invention, as they are the main pillar of the region’s future. Al- Budaiwi explained that the participation of the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council in this scientific event and its allocation of three awards for Gulf innovators reflects the commitment of the GCC countries to motivate innovators. — KUNA
