Defense minister visits Wajib Mubarak force

Sheikh Abdullah urges ground forces to continue dedicated service to the nation

KUWAIT: Minister of Defense and Acting Minister of Interior, Sheikh Abdullah Ali Abdullah Al-Sabah, visited the “Wajib Mubarak” force in the northern region on Wednesday to mark the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan. He was accompanied by Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Army, Major General Sabah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, and several senior military leaders.

According to a statement by the Ministry of Defense, Sheikh Abdullah began his visit by receiving a briefing from the commander of the “Wajib Mubarak” force, who outlined the force’s preparedness and operational readiness. The minister also shared an iftar meal with the personnel in a Ramadan atmosphere.

During his speech, Sheikh Abdullah conveyed the greetings and best wishes of His Highness the Amir of Kuwait and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah on the occasion of Ramadan.

Expressing his happiness to be among the soldiers, Sheikh Abdullah praised the high morale of the armed forces and expressed pride in their dedication and sacrifices to protect the homeland and maintain its security, stability and territorial integrity.

He concluded his visit by urging the personnel of the ground forces to continue their dedication and service to the nation, praying to Almighty God to preserve Kuwait’s security and stability and to bless the country and its people during Ramadan under the wise leadership of His Highness the Amir and His Highness the Crown Prince. — KUNA
