KUWAIT: Twochildren were killed and nine others were injured in a collision along Wafrafarms road, Kuwait Fire Service Directorate's public relations and mediadepartment said in a statement. Firefighters responded to a report Thursdaynight about a collision between a water tanker and sedan carrying a family.
Sources said fivechildren were immediately rushed to hospital with serious injuries, where twoof them died, while the others are undergoing medical treatment. Aninvestigation was opened to determine the circumstances behind the accident.
Smuggling foiled
Customsinspectors at Kuwait International Airport discovered large amounts of drugssmuggled in a food supplement shipment arriving as a cargo from a Europeancountry. Security sources said the recipient did not show up to collect theshipment, so the drugs were confiscated pending further investigations.
