KUWAIT: The Relations and Security Information Department at the Interior Ministry said the prisons security department foiled an attempt to smuggle illicit material into the prisons complex. It said that an Asian truck driver attempted to smuggle the material but security men foiled his plans.
Separately, airport customs officers arrested a Nepalese who seemed nervous as soon as he saw customs officers. When his luggage was searched, one kilogram of marijuana was found. He confessed to bringing in the drug for trade.
E-cigarettes
Nuwaiseeb customs officers confiscated a quantity of electronic cigarettes with a citizen. A report was made and the confiscated material was sent to concerned authorities.
