Kuwait sends 7th airlift to Syria with 40 tons of aid

KUWAIT: The seventh humanitarian aid flight from Kuwait has safely arrived in Syria, carrying 40 tons of vital supplies, including food, winter materials, and medical goods. The flight is part of Kuwait’s broader effort to provide assistance to the Syrian people under the "Kuwait by Your Side" campaign, organized by the Al-Salam Charity.

The aid, which includes blankets, warm clothing, and other essential items, aims to address the urgent needs of the Syrian population, particularly in light of the harsh winter conditions. The shipment was coordinated in cooperation with Kuwaiti ministries, including the Ministry of Social Affairs, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Ministry of Defense, represented by the Kuwait Air Force.

According to Hamed Al-Aoun, the General Director of Al-Salam Charity Association, the flight contains specialized supplies such as food, medicine, and other relief materials. The aid is being delivered in coordination with the Syrian Arab Red Crescent to ensure that it reaches the communities most in need.

Kuwait has consistently been a significant player in humanitarian efforts, both regionally and globally, with the country’s leadership emphasizing the importance of providing immediate relief to those affected by crises. The humanitarian missions are conducted under the directives of the Kuwaiti leadership, reflecting Kuwait’s ongoing commitment to supporting its Arab neighbors in times of need.

As the humanitarian situation in Syria continues to evolve, Kuwait remains dedicated to addressing the needs of the Syrian people, with additional flights and shipments planned as part of the long-term relief and recovery efforts. — KUNA
