KUWAIT: The Ministry of Interior's Relations and Security Media Department announced that security forces raided the house of Sheikh Athbi Fahd Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah to arrest him in implementation of a court ruling in the infamous 'Fintas Group' case, in which he was sentenced to five years in prison. Sheikh Athbi could not be found at his house, the ministry announced, adding that he has been in hiding since the ruling was made.

However, security sources said that the force found a Kalashnikov (AK-47) rifle, a gun, four loaded magazines and live ammunition in the house, which were all confiscated and legal measures were accordingly taken. The court had sentenced Sheikh Athbi and two other royals, as well as two others to five years in jail for insulting top judges online.
