KUWAIT: Municipal Council Chairman Osama Al-Otaibi inquired from the Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs and Minister of State for Municipal Affairs Fahad Al-Shoula about the use of having a consultancy agreement with the World Bank on managing solid waste in Kuwait. Otaibi demanded a copy of the 24-month agreement signed in May 2018 with a total value of KD 573,806 and a report of what has been so far done in this regard.
Meanwhile, Kuwait Municipality's public relations department said Ahmadi municipal cleaning division launched a wide scale inspection campaign in Mangaf. Division manager Faisal Al-Otaibi said the campaign is part of the 'Keep it Clean' campaign, adding that 180 truckloads of waste had been removed from various areas in Ahmadi, including 12 from Mangaf alone. He added 292 garbage containers had been changed.
