KUWAIT: Policemen in Fintas broke up a fight between a number of Asian nationals who used sharp objects including a saw, causing a few injuries in the process. Six of the fighters were arrested with possession of sharp objects including the saw used in the fight. Some of the fighters were taken to Adan Hospital for treatment, while others were detained at the police station for further action. Separately, several youngsters were involved in a bloody fight in front of a cafe in Salmiya as they competed for a girl and a man described as a 'transsexual' who was with her. Policemen stopped the fight and sent them to the police station.

Murder threat

A security source said an Egyptian man in his forties told Khaitan police that he was a victim of a crime that may cost him his savings and threatens his future in Kuwait and in his country. He said that he had a joint business with two other Egyptians to bring fruits and vegetables and sell them in Kuwait. He said the two asked him to see them to agree on a new deal, but he was surprised by them pulling a knife and sword, threatening to kill him if he does not sign a promissory note. The case went to detectives, and the two were arrested. They confessed to forcing him to sign a promissory note, but not under threat, because he had taken KD 10,000 to buy things but refused to return the money.

Camp thieves caught

Jahra detectives arrested three persons in Abdaly for robberies in camps. They had interior ministry vests which they used during thefts. The trio, a Kuwaiti, a bedoon and a Saudi, themselves had a camp, which was raided, and detectives found power generators, electric appliances, drugs and weapons. They were taken to Jahra detectives department. - Al-Rai and Al-Anbaa
