KUWAIT: The tournament of the late Sheikh Sabah Al-Salem Al- Humoud Cup began yesterday with club, National Guard, UAE and Bahrain shooters participating. Competition will continue until Saturday, April 20 (Tomorrow).

Assistant Treasurer at Kuwait Shooting Sport Club Adnan Nasser Al-Ibrahim said, the tournament is one of the important events the club is keen on organizing each year, and always witness strong competition between participating shooters. Al- Ibrahim said Kuwait shooting continues its efforts and participation in local, regional and international championships, where Kuwaiti shooters made, and make great achievements, the latest of which the qualifying of skeet shooter Mansour Al-Rashidi to the Tokyo 2020 Olympics by winning the gold medal of the skeet event during the World Cup competition in UAE, being the second shooter to qualify after Abdelrahman Al-Faihan.

Al-Ibrahim, on behalf of KSSC chairman and board members thanked the family of the late Sheikh Sabah Al-Salem Al-Humoud Al-Sabah for supporting the sport of shooting. He also lauded the support of KSSC Honorary President Sheikh Salman Sabah Al- Salem Al-Humoud Al-Sabah for shooters when they win in the name of the countries. Al-Ibrahim urged Kuwait’s shooters to exert their utmost efforts during the tournament so that they can represent Kuwait and win. The closing ceremony of the tournament will be on Saturday at 6:30 pm at the club’s premises.
