KUWAIT: Kuwait’s newest radio news studio is now live, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Information Dr Nasser Muheisen announced on Monday. The studio is considered one of the most advanced radio studios due to its state-of-the-art technologies and radio broadcasting equipment, he said. “This step will develop the studio's work mechanism by linking it to the servers of the TV news studio to facilitate the exchange of information between the radio and television studios,” he said in a statement to KUNA.
“The studio has been linked to the Arab news editorial hall so that news bulletins are sent directly to the broadcast studio through a digital network, which saves effort and time and ensures the safety of broadcasting news bulletins on time.” He stated that under the directives of the Minister of Information, Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi, the ministry is working on a comprehensive strategy and action plan to develop the media work system at the technical level and develop the capabilities of ministry employees.
The strategy includes several infrastructure projects according to the latest required specifications, including studios for television and radio news in line with developments in the media industry, he added. “This comes in view of the great importance of the process of disseminating news in Kuwait and abroad for viewers and listeners, in addition to broadcasting events at the local and international levels for viewers of Kuwait TV.”
He pointed out that a news monitoring project has been implemented to follow up on everything related to international, political, economic, and other events and turning it into a main source of news, especially when it comes to Kuwaiti affairs. – KUNA
