Plane lands safely at Kuwait Airport after bomb scare

A Gulf Air aircraft landed safely at Kuwait International Airport Sunday after authorities received a call reporting a bomb being on board, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation said in a statement.


All safety procedures and security protocols were taken in accordance with Intrior Ministry personnel and relevant authorities, the DGCA said, noting that inspections revealed that the plane carried no explosive materials.

All passengers are safe, it said, adding that they were moved out of the plane and into an isolated hall in the airport according to protocol. Sceduled flights were not affected by the ordeal, it added.
