KUWAIT: For the first time in Kuwait, Al-Buraq Academy held an exhibition for horses at the Kuwait International Fairgrounds in Mishref. The exhibition, held under the slogan 'live the equestrian experience,' was inaugurated last Wednesday at Hall number 7. It runs until 10:00 pm this evening.

Visitors can experience equestrianism by horseback riding. "The Kuwait Riders Academy invites participation in Al-Buraq's first equestrian exhibition to introduce the benefits and the power of equestrian for those young generations," said Mohammad Al-Kanderi, founder of the Kuwait Riders Academy. "(Visitors) can also enjoy a special show performed by our outstanding horse riders, in addition to an introductory lecture that will be talking about horses, their uses in the past and present as well as their living environments and their dietary system."

Kanderi told Kuwait Times that he was happy to participate in the first exhibition for horses in Kuwait where visitors can find everything about horses in one place. "Kuwait Riders Academy provides affordable equestrian services for enthusiasts and professionals alike since 2007. We are giving courses and workshops for people all ages to learn more about horse riding," he said.

Kandari added that the Kuwait Riders Academy teaches according to the British Horse Society. When riders finish their courses, they can join the British Horse Society to become more professional, Kandari said, adding that his academy offers educational camping trips in the United Kingdom, Turkey, and Holland.

The exhibition held an auction for 70 Arabian horses. In addition, several public and private bodies participated in the event, including the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Defense, Ali Alghanim and Sons Automotive, The Kuwaiti Society for Arabian Horses, and Kuwait's equine art gallery.
