AUM recognizes Zain’s strategic role in supporting education

Kuwait: Zain was recently awarded by the American University of the Middle East at the AUM Corporate Award 2023, held in the university’s cultural center, in recognition of its extended partnership with AUM throughout the past years. Zain was also recognized for its strategic efforts in developing the local education sector, supporting academic programs, and attracting national talents.

During the ceremony, HUMANSOFT Vice Chairman Tareq Al Othman awarded Zain Kuwait’s Chief Corporate Affairs and Relations Officer Waleed Al Khashti in recognition of the company’s continuous support to the annual AUM Career Fair, which Zain sponsored recently.

The recognition also came to shed light on the strategic role Zain continuously plays in attracting national talents, many of which are distinguished AUM alumni, and providing career opportunities in the Kuwaiti private sector, especially within STEM areas.

Zain expressed its gratitude to AUM for this recognition, which is an acknowledgment from one of the nation’s top academic institutions of the company’s role in contributing to develop the education and human resources sectors.

Zain strongly believes in the importance of supporting education initiatives given that they play a crucial role in pushing the national economy wheel forward and help embrace, develop, and empower national talents.

Zain recently sponsored AUM’s 9th Career Fair, organized by the Tawteen Career Development and Recruitment center, which attracted 20,000 students, graduates, and career seekers. Zain introduced students and alumni to its leading experience in the telecom sector, as well as its internal policy and wonderful workplace environment. The company also presented the available job vacancies, provided a detailed explanation of the nature of work at various departments and divisions, and answered questions and inquiries from visitors.

Zain is always eager to participate in career fairs under the umbrella of its Human Resources strategy, which closely focuses on supporting the education sector hand in hand with various universities, colleges, and educational institutions in Kuwait (both public and private), with the aim of providing students and graduates with career opportunities in the private sector.

Zain is committed to playing an active role in the investment in the human capital of Kuwait. The company seeks to provide young and eager Kuwaitis with job opportunities that allow them to apply their practical skills, achieve their potential, and fully develop their capabilities.
