KUWAIT: The regional office of MILSET Asia in Kuwait announced the successful conclusion of the 17th annual Kuwait school competition in industrial applications for the current academic year. The competition, held in collaboration with the educational development and activities sector at the ministry of education, focused on “modern agricultural technology”, drawing the participation of 100 students from middle and primary schools in the final qualifiers from an initial 210 students.

Adnan Al-Meer, Vice President of MILSET and Regional Head of MILSET Asia, highlighted that each participating school in the final qualifiers was represented by a team of three students for the intermediate competition and a team of four students for the primary competition, accompanied by a coach.

The intermediate stage qualifiers saw Abdullah bin Hudhafa Intermediate School for Boys from Farwaniya governorate securing the first position, followed by Ibn Al-Nafees Intermediate School for Girls from Hawally governorate in second place, and Saif Al-Dawla Intermediate School for Boys from Capital governorate securing the third spot. For the primary stage, Abdulaziz Al-Gharabally Primary School for Boys clinched the first, second and third places.

Meer expressed gratitude to Maryam Al-Enezi, assistant undersecretary of the educational development and activities sector at the ministry of education, for sponsoring the closing ceremony. The event was attended by 60 students from the intermediate stage and 40 from the primary stage across all educational zones. MILSET Asia organized various meetings, seminars, training courses and workshops for teachers to familiarize them with the competition system, curricula, stages and procedures.

During the ceremony, Abdulrahman Burzaiq, a student from Al-Asma’i High School, delivered a speech expressing his gratitude for the leadership training provided by MILSET. He shared his experience in participating in programs and activities, including a youth rehabilitation camp in China, thanking the organization for its role in qualifying Kuwaiti youth and honing their skills.
