KUWAIT: The Medical Sciences Center of Kuwait University (KU) on Wednesday signed a memorandum of understanding with Kuwait Oil Company (KOC), aiming to exchange expertise and boost partnership in the healthcare field. In a press statement after signing the MoU, Acting University Director Dr Fayez Al-Dhefiri said that Kuwait University supports interests of medical, service and research value in the healthcare field to best serve the society, noting that the agreement will allow joint cooperation within a research and academic framework.

In a similar statement, Acting Vice Director of the University for Medical Sciences Center Dr Osama Al-Saeed said the MoU aims to develop the healthcare system through exchanging expertise and providing the best community services.

On his part, KOC’s Executive Vice President for Administrative and Financial Affairs Qusay Al-Amer affirmed that the medical agreement reflects Kuwait University’s commitment to supporting and enhancing joint cooperation and developing healthcare systems, noting that experts will be recruited from KU according to the agreement. — KUNA
