KUNA’s training program sharpens video editing skills

KUWAIT: KUNA Center for Media Development concluded its training program ‘Video Editing and Directing Skills for Media’ on Thursday with the participation of a number of media teams from Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), Saudi Arabia News Agency (SPA), Qatar News Agency (QNA), Kuwait National Guard, Public Authority for Applied Education and Training, Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC), and Kuwait Ports Authority (KPA).

The presenter and director at the Kuwaiti Ministry of Information, Hamad Ibrahim, told KUNA that the training program is aimed at developing the participants’ skills in the field of video editing and directing in line with modern developments in digital media. Ibrahim added that the program, which was launched last Sunday, focused on how to choose appropriate topics for filming, analyzing content, and identifying the target audience, in addition to research methods and writing content in an effective and influential manner.

The program combined theoretical and practical aspects by providing practical training in the fields of editing and external filming, in addition to training participants on filming interviews, introductions, and places and how to deal with sound professionally. He explained that the main goal of the program was to raise the efficiency of media workers and to enhance their capabilities to provide quality media content.

The KUNA Center for Media Capacity Development, which was established in December 1995, is considered one of the most important media training centers and has provided hundreds of training programs in various media fields. It aims to develop personal media capabilities and potentials and advance professional media work. — KUNA
