KUWAIT: Lieutenant General Hashim Al-Rifai, the Undersecretary of the National Guard, accompanied by Major General Hamad Salem, the Commander of Protection and Reinforcement, conducted an inspection visit to the second and first Facilities Protection Battalions of the Second Protection Brigade on Wednesday. The visit was aimed at evaluating the security of critical oil facilities in the central region, as well as the Sabhan fuel depots, and to assess the progress of ongoing operations.
During the visit, Lieutenant General Al-Rifai stressed the importance of maintaining high levels of readiness and rigorous training to support the various ministries and state institutions in ensuring the security and stability of the country, in line with the directives of its wise leadership.
Al-Rifai also conveyed the greetings and appreciation of the leadership of the National Guard, including National Guard President Sheikh Mubarak Hamoud Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and Deputy President Sheikh Faisal Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah. He expressed their pride in the role played by the National Guard in securing vital sites and the continued commitment of its personnel in safeguarding the nation’s key installations.
The Undersecretary commended the high state of preparedness among the guardsmen in the units he inspected. He also noted that the National Guard’s strategic plan, "Guiding Document 2025,” places particular emphasis on the Guard’s critical role in protecting the country’s vital facilities and infrastructure.
In addition to the battalion visits, Lieutenant General Al-Rifai also toured the Technical Services Directorate at Camp Tahrir, where he reviewed the workflow and identified the logistical and operational needs of various units. — KUNA
