Fourth Arab Masters Tennis Tournament begins Wednesday

KUWAIT: The fourth Arab Masters Tennis Championship, sponsored by Al Ahli Bank of Kuwait (ABK) and KGL, will kick off on Wednesday in the Bahrain’s capital Manama, with the participation of some of the best Arab players ranked by the ATP and the International Tennis Federation (ITF). Secretary General of Arab Tennis Federation, Ali Lafi Al-Mutairi, announced that the tournament will witness the participation of 16 players from 9 Arab countries, explaining that participation in this tournament is limited to players with the highest ATP and ITF rankings, while the Arab Federation granted the organizing country (Bahrain) two Wild Card cards according to the tournament system.

Al-Mutairi said that the organizing committee of the tournament will hold a press conference on Tuesday at the Intercontinental Regency Hotel in Manama to talk about the details of the tournament in the presence of the Secretary General of the Arab Federation, Walid Sami, Bahraini Federation officials, all participating players and media representatives, and that the tournament draw will take place immediately after the end of the press conference.

Secretary General of the Arab Federation pointed out that the tournament will be held on the courts of the Police Officers Club in Manama from December 18 to 22, stressing that preparations are complete for the launch of this important Arab event. Al-Mutairi expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Chairman and members of the Board of Directors of Bahrain Tennis Federation and the Bahrain Ministry of Interior for hosting the tournament on the courts of the Public Security Officers Club and providing all the elements for the success of this event, as well as ABK of Kuwait and KGL for their support and sponsorship of the tournament for the fourth consecutive year.

Secretary General of the Arab Tennis Federation appreciated the cooperation shown by the management of BeIN Sport and its keenness to cover the final round of the tournament, adding that the Arab Tennis Federation looks forward to organizing a distinguished edition of the tournament in cooperation with the Bahraini brothers.
