Burgan Bank holds annual blood donation campaign for employees

Bank supports Kuwait healthcare sector

KUWAIT: Burgan Bank recently concluded its annual blood donation campaign for its employees in a new effort to show solidarity with the community and play a proactive role in supporting Kuwait’s healthcare system. The campaign, organized in collaboration with the Central Blood Bank and the Ministry of Health at the Bank’s headquarters, falls under Burgan’s comprehensive social responsibility strategy and its continuous efforts to raise awareness about vital health and wellness topics.

“On behalf of Burgan’s management, I would like to express my appreciation for every employee who participated in this year’s blood donation campaign,” said Naqeeb Amin, General Manager - Human Resources and Development at Burgan Bank. “Reinforcing our partnership with government institutions, such as the Ministry of Health and the Central Blood Bank, is among our top priorities. By organizing the annual blood donation campaign, we aim to raise awareness among our staff about the fundamental aspect of donating blood, underscoring the Bank’s diligence in fostering a culture that ensures the availability of all blood types for all patients in need.”

Naqeeb added: “We are proud to report that over 100 Burgan employees took part in the campaign and donated different blood types. Naturally, the success of the campaign would not have been possible without the sanitation and sterilization procedures and health precautions set forth by the Ministry of Health and the Central Blood Bank to ensure the utmost safety for all donors and participants.”

It serves to note that Burgan Bank has a long history of participating in health awareness campaigns, which shed light on numerous topics, including diabetes, different types of cancer, and mental health and well-being. The Bank’s health awareness efforts, held in partnership with leading health organizations in Kuwait, aim to benefit its staff and all community members, paving the path towards a healthier and more aware community.
