Kuwaiti jet skiers win third place in Europe championship

WARSAW: Kuwait National Jet Ski team members Mohammad Burbayea and Salem Al-Mutawa secured third place in two different categories at the European Jet Ski Championship held in Poland, at the first round of the World Series.

Burbayea achieved third place in the Pro GP category for senior professionals, while his teammate Al-Mutawa earned the same place in the Expert Ski category.

In a press statement Monday, Secretary General of the Kuwait Sea Sports Club Khaled Al-Foudari commended the team’s achievements and the efforts of all players, as well as the administrative and technical staff.

He noted the great support from the Public Authority for Sport (PAS) and ProRider, expressing confidence in the team’s potential and readiness to claim more titles in the next round of the championship, slated for October in Arizona, US.

The European Jet Ski Championship kicked off in Poland on July 21 and concluded on Monday, supervised by the International Jet Sports Boating Association (IJSBA) with the participation of 30 countries and 200 competitors.
