KUWAIT: The Ministry of Education announced the participation of five Kuwaiti students in the International Physics Olympiad competition being held in the Iranian city of Isfahan, with the support of the Sabah Al-Ahmad Center for Giftedness and Creativity and the supervision of the general technical guidance for science in the Ministry. The Ministry of Education said in a press statement on Tuesday that its participation in the Olympics comes in light of its keenness to refine the talents of distinguished students and encourage them to participate in local, regional and international competitions.

The participating students are Ahmed Badr from Duaij Al-Salman (Al-Sabah High School); Hussein Al-Awadi (Jaber Al-Ali Al-Sabah High School); Salem Al-Ajmi (Talha bin Obaidullah High School); Salman Mohamed (Salah Al-Din High School); and Jassim Mohamed (Al-Shuja Bin Al-Aslam High School). The students are accompanied and supervised by the technical mentors of science, Anoud Al-Kandari and Fatima Ashkanani. — KUNA
