PACI showcases geographic info systems in US

KUWAIT: The General Authority for Civil Information (PACI) presented its projects related to geographic information systems during the opening presentation of the largest global conference for users of geographic information systems, held in San Diego, US.

In a statement on Tuesday, the Authority’s Acting Director General, Mansour Al-Methen, said that the Authority was chosen for this inaugural presentation after being classified among the best four entities out of more than 350,000 that use geographic information systems worldwide.

Al-Methen pointed to the distinguished experience of the Authority in the field of geographic information systems, especially pioneering projects such as the Kuwait Finder, the Artificial Intelligence Project, the high-resolution imaging project using laser technology, and drone photography. — KUNA
