Innovation Nation 2nd summer camp kicks off to foster youth’s tech skills

In partnership between Zain, SACGC and in collaboration with Assima Mall

KUWAIT: For the second year in a row, the Innovation Nation (IN) Summer Camp has kicked off in strategic partnership between Zain and Sabah Al-Ahmad Center for Giftedness and Creativity (SACGC) - a KFAS center, and in collaboration with Assima Mall. The initiative aims to foster young people’s tech skills through engaging mini-workshops that run daily from July 15-21.

The camp’s recent launch was attended by SACGC General Manager Neda Al Dehani, Zain Kuwait Corporate Relations Department Manager Hamad Al Musaibeeh, Zain Kuwait Innovation and Entrepreneurship Expert Haya Al Mana, and officials from Assima Mall. The opening day was a tremendous success, with many ambitious young individuals signing up to seize this opportunity to develop their passion for technology.

Designed for children and youth aged 7-14, the Innovation Nation Summer Camp features a combination of daily courses and engaging workshops located on the ground floor of Assima Mall. Each workshop is approximately two hours long, and those interested can easily walk in and sign up for their favorite course without the need for pre-registration. The workshops are supervised and facilitated by experts and certified trainers from Sabah Al-Ahmad Center for Giftedness and Creativity. The content is presented in an innovative and engaging manner that appeals to young people.

The IN Camp covers a variety of topics, including digital drawing and 3D printing, augmented reality (AR), robotics and programming, electronics, mechanical and software engineering, and more. Additionally, Zain hosted a similar camp dedicated to the children of Zain employees. This special two-day camp was held at the Zain Innovation Campus (ZINC) in the company’s main headquarters in Shuwaikh and featured rich and engaging content for children aged 5-13.

The youngsters had fun learning about technology, robotics, and more. This partnership between Zain, SACGC, and Assima Mall is part of the broader Innovation Nation initiative, which encompasses all of Zain’s innovation and entrepreneurship programs. The initiative focuses on science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) and primarily targets young people and entrepreneurs, aiming to foster a digitally capable generation.
