Kuwait’s Civil Aviation ensures quality, safety

RABAT: The head of Kuwait’s Directorate General of Civil Aviation, Sheikh Humoud Mubarak Al-Homoud Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, said on Thursday that the department is keen to cooperate and coordinate internationally to ensure the highest levels of quality and safety in the civil aviation industry. This came in a statement made by Sheikh Humoud to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) after meeting with the President of the Council of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), Salvatore Sciacchitano, during the 28th session of the General Assembly of the Arabic Civil Aviation Organization currently being held in the Moroccan capital Rabat.

During the meeting, the officials exchanged ideas on issues related to civil aviation. The 28th session of the General Assembly of the Arabic Civil Aviation Organization kicked off on Wednesday with the participation of ministers and representatives of Arabic member states, including Kuwait, whose delegation is headed by Sheikh Humoud Mubarak Al-Humoud Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. 

The session focused on projects and plans aimed at upgrading the Arab civil aviation sector, in addition to electing members of the Executive Council and technical committees of the Arabic Civil Aviation Organization and supporting the candidacies of Arabic countries for membership in the ICAO Council. On Wednesday, the General Assembly of the Organization recommended Kuwait to be a member of its Executive Council for the third time in a row. — KUNA
