Kuwait army chief of staff meets UAE ambassador

KUWAIT: Chief of the General Staff of the Kuwait Army, Lieutenant General Bandar Al-Muzain, discussed on Sunday with the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to Kuwait Dr Matar Al-Neyadi topics pertaining to the military.

Lieutenant General Al-Muzain received the Emirati ambassador accompanied by the Emirati Military Attache, Colonel Mohamad Al-Muhairi, said the Army General Staff in a statement. The statement added that during the meeting, friendly conversations were exchanged, and the most important topics of mutual interest were discussed.

In related news, Lieutenant General Bandar Al-Muzain inspected on Saturday the Abdullah Al-Mubarak and Nawaf Al-Ahmad air base projects. The visit was aimed at checking the progress of work, the completion rates of the projects as part of his follow-up on the implementation of projects in various sectors of the Kuwaiti army.

Chief of the General Staff of the Kuwait Army’s office said in a press statement that the team confirmed during the tour its keenness to speed up the pace of completion of the projects to have them ready by the agreed upon deadline.

The statement added that the tour came with the aim of ensuring the availability of operation requirements and equipment and providing the bases with any needed equipment and supplies. During the tour, Lieutenant General Al-Muzain was accompanied by Air Force Commander Major General Staff Pilot Sabah Jaber Al-Ahmad, Head of Military Bases Transition Engineer Faisal Al-Hajri, and several Air Force officers and engineers. — KUNA
