KUWAIT: The seminar sessions (literary editing and publishing in the Arab world) were launched on Saturday as part of the 29th Qurain Cultural Festival with the participation of a number of specialists and academics from inside and outside Kuwait. The secretary general of the National Council for Culture, Arts, and Letters, Dr. Mohammed Al-Jassar, underlined the importance of the symposium, stressing that “attention should be given to editing at this time to maintain the level of the Arabic language in literary writing.”
Al-Jassar expressed his pleasure in hosting such seminars, hoping for the continuation of these activities to preserve the Arabic language. For her part, the Assistant Secretary General of the Culture Sector of the Council, Aisha Al-Mahmoud, said that there will be more seminars on cultural issues in the Arab world, whether literary, economic, or political. — KUNA
