ABU DHABI: A Kuwaiti delegation in Abu Dhabi representing the Ministry of Finance took part in the 9th Arab Finance Undersecretaries meeting Monday, during which they discussed ways to enhance shared financial cooperation among Arab states by addressing various economic and financial issues.
The head of the delegation, Kholoud Al-Mutawa, told KUNA after the meeting that the most notable discussions centered around Arab cooperation in the economy and finance. The focus was on the role of fiscal policy in integrating the informal and national economic sectors and the resulting repercussions for the economy.
The meeting also touched on other matters, said Al-Mutawa, including the risk of fiscal policy amid an economic decline and the significance of incorporating clean and sustainable energy. Al-Mutawa’s remarks were reported by the Finance Ministry via a statement.
She affirmed the importance of reinforcing the country’s capability of facing obstacles and maintaining its financial resilience by addressing and labeling the sustaining debts as one of the highest priorities. She also emphasized the critical role of organizing social security networks in Kuwait and improving living standards while putting forth effective proposals through a visual presentation. — KUNA
