ShareKUWAIT: The Kuwait Teachers Association has renewed its demands for the intervention of the Interim Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahad Yousef Al-Sabah, as it urges the ministry to investigate the unfortunate and unjustified treatment of one of its teachers at Saeed High School in Taima. The teacher was attacked in the parking lot in front of students, colleagues, administrators and parents.
A delegation from the Board of Directors of the Association included the Secretary, Dr Obaid Al-Otaibi, and members of the Board of Directors visited the teacher to check on his health and safety as well as his medical report. Dr Al-Otaibi pointed out that the board places full confidence in the Minister of Interior.
Dr Al-Otaibi stressed that there is an urgent need to find ways to protect the teacher. The association hopes the Minister of Education, Dr Adel Al-Adwani, will put the issue among his priorities in order to protect teachers in cooperation with competent authorities.
