Arab parliament praises Kuwait’s strong, noble stance on Palestine
Kuwaiti diplomacy hailed as ‘influential and supportive’ of joint Arab action

CAIRO: Speaker of the Arab Parliament Adel Al-Asoumi on Saturday praised the positions of the State of Kuwait in support of Arab issues, especially the Palestinian brothers in the Gaza Strip, stressing that the Arab Parliament highly appreciates these efforts that come with the support of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. Al-Asoumi made the statement during the meetings of the four permanent committees of the Arab Parliament in preparation for the work of the second plenary session of the fourth session of the third legislative term of the Parliament.

Al-Asoumi said that His Highness the Amir is keen that Kuwait must be present in support of Arab issues, stressing that Kuwaiti diplomacy is “influential and supportive” of joint Arab action. He pointed out that the recent situation in the Arab region requires Arab solidarity and collective action to confront the great dangers to which the nation is exposed, indicating that the Arab Parliament is keen to have a clear working mechanism to advance a joint Arab action.

Al-Asoumi explained that this Arab mechanism also aims to coordinate with external parties to support Arab issues, especially those related to the brutal Zionist aggression against the Gaza Strip, noting that the Arab Parliament is in permanent session to support the Palestinian brothers in the Strip.
