KUWAIT: The Zain Innovation Campus (ZINC) hosted Zainphonic, an insightful session that covered the essentials of photography and videography by using smartphones. The workshop, which the company held in celebration of World Photography Day on Aug 19, was presented by the talented Kuwaiti photographer and content creator Abdulaziz Al-Suraya.
The workshop was well-received, having featured wide participation from photography enthusiasts from both Kuwait and the GCC. The participants varied in their skill levels, with beginners, intermediate, and advanced photographers successfully enrolling to upskill their passion in art, photography, and videography. The session presented a combination of theoretical and practical methods to efficiently upskill the participants and add the best value to their skillsets.
Zain’s workshop adopted a unique approach, in that it not only focused on the general essentials of photography and videography, but also focused on the highly specialized world of smartphone cameras. Today’s smartphones are equipped with high-quality, professional-level camera systems, and their technical capabilities can even match those of traditional cameras.
During the session, Kuwaiti photographer and content creator Abdulaziz Al Suraya focused on a number of topics, including innovative approaches to photography and videography using smartphones, how to use specialized apps to professionally edit photos and videos, understanding colors and light and how to utilize them in visual content, how to reflect your personal touch on your work, and more.
Zain continues to cultivate a culture of creativity within the community by empowering talented people to take advantage of technology and enrich the local art scene. The company continues to collaborate with local content creators to offer programs, workshops, and sessions to encourage the public – especially young people – to pursue their passions and foster their innovation, creativity, and technology skills.
