Kuwait: Zain, Kuwait’s leading digital service provider, announces that it is dedicating 10 buses and three trips to transport Kuwait fans to the Arab Gulf Cup competition, now known as "Khaleeji Zain 25”, to be held in Basra governorate, Iraq with Zain Group as the title sponsor.
The initiative comes under Zain’s strategic partnership with the Kuwait Football Association (KFA), and as part of its keenness to reflect its national role as a leading private sector company that supports the local sports sector and contributes to elevating Kuwaiti sports and athletes. The step also coincides with Zain Group’s recent announcement of its title sponsorship of the Arab Gulf Cup silver jubilee edition, now called "Khaleeji Zain 25”.
Zain is set to dedicate 10 buses to transport over 400 fans to cheer the Kuwait National Team at their upcoming three group stage games: the first vs. Qatar on 7 January, the second vs. UAE on 10 January, and the third vs. Bahrain on 13 January. Zain will cover all costs and expenses, including transportation, match tickets, and more.
Zain received fantastic feedback and found great turnout from youth and families to join the first trip during the registration event held at the KFA headquarters in Adaliya. Fans from all age groups showed great interest and huge enthusiasm to be on the stands and support the National Team during this competition, which is much cherished among Kuwaitis given that Kuwait is the nation with the most titles in the competition’s history. Zain values the role of the KFA and the Ministry of Interior in facilitating the logistics of the trips.
Zain is a passionate supporter of youth and sports tournaments across the region, and the reintroduction of international football activities to Iraq re-establishes the country’s presence on the regional football map once more.
"Khaleeji Zain 25” is organized and supervised by the Arab Gulf Cup Football Federation in Basra, with live telecast and streaming available on various TV and online media channels. Following the successful hosting of the World Cup in the region, "Khaleeji Zain 25” will bring together fans, officials and the best Gulf players on Iraqi soil in Basra.
