KUWAIT: Yarmouk Sports Club's basketball team returned home from Egypt after participating in the 33rd Arab Clubs Championship. The club was placed in the second group of the tournament, which also included Al-Zahraa from Tunis, Wakra from Qatar, Sharjah from the UAE and Younani from Sudan. Yarmouk lost two matches and won two others, while it displayed an excellent level in its matches.
Their participation in the tournament also provided a chance for the team to prepare for the new basketball season in Kuwait. Yarmouk Club's Deputy Chairman Younis Al-Taher thanked the Public Authority for Sport and the club's president for their efforts "that enabled the club to hold a training camp and participate in the tournament".
