KUWAIT: Today will mark the end of the World Bowling Championship that was held in Kuwait from October 4th to the 15th with 400 players of both genders representing 36 national teams. The final event today will be the group competition which promises to be the strongest and most competitive between all participating teams as all are competing for the title due to the moral and material returns.
Al-Ali, member of the Oman Bowling Federation, Head of the National Teams Ahmad Khamis Al-Ali said the tournament in Kuwait was exceptional and well organized in the history of the tournaments. He added that Kuwait reflected the exceptional image of bowling in the Gulf, and this led to the having the worldís confidence in Sheikh Talal Al-Mohammad to lead the world’s bowling sport.
He said that Sheikh Mohammad moved bowling in the Gulf to being global as he provided all possible means to come in touch with the best schools and players at world’s level. Meanwhile Oman’s Bowling Federation member Mousa Al-Maimani said Kuwait presented the best world tournament of the bowling sport. He said that Oman, like the rest of countries will not spare any effort in supporting the international federation to continue its development and advancement at the world level.
