KUWAIT: Director of the family care department Dr Khaled Al-Ajmi participated in an event to celebrate World Adoption Day, marked annually on Nov 9. The management plays a principal role in helping fostered children and expends effort to achieve stability and family security for children who lack parental care. "Our Islamic religion always cares for orphans to transform their lives positively, as the Prophet (PBUH) called for caring for orphans," Ajmi said.
"The management seeks to reduce social problems that may occur by pushing families to help foster children," he added. The number of fostered children this year reached 14 among a total of 651 fostered children, adding more requests are pending. "This shows that we are greatly interested in social responsibility undertaken by foster families, so we are thankful to these families and their supportive efforts," Ajmi said.
