KUWAIT: The General Secretariat of the Supreme Council for Planning and Development organized a workshop on Sunday to review the annual development plan for the media, with the attendance of General Secretary Khaled Mahdi and a number of officials.

Mahdi affirmed "the workshop comes within our insistence to understand completely reviewing reports and what includes as we have conducted the workshop for all media whether audible or readable, they may be. We have noticed lately that there has been wrong reading of the report which reflects negatively on the transfer of knowledge to the public which leads to a distorted representation of facts," he added.

The workshop looked into means of preparing reports and how to submit them until they reach the National Assembly. "The report is prepared by the general secretariat of planning and development and goes through multiple phases before being presented to parliamentary committees," Mahdi said. "All information in the report is taken from related departments that have a project in the plan," he added.
