KUWAIT: Kuwait's Ministry of Interior said Sunday a woman was arrested for attacking a policeman with a sharp object when police forces attempted to stop her for driving in the wrong side of the road during curfew in Mubarak Al-Kabeer.
Policemen manning a checkpoint in Mubarak Al-Kabeer during the partial curfew attempted to stop a car that was coming on the wrong side of the road, the ministry said in a statement.
The curfew is between 5:00 pm and 4:00 am. The car, it added, hit the police vehicle and then the female driver came out of the car and stabbed the policeman with a sharp object, inflicting an injury.
The woman, whose name, age and nationality were disclosed, attacked the other servicemen and caused slight injuries to one of them, and one policeman was forced to fire in the air before she was subdued, it said. The woman had a criminal record. The injured policeman was rushed to hospital, the ministry said. - KUNA
