KUWAIT: Ambassador of Canada to Kuwait Aliya Mawani paid a visit to Kuwait Times and Kuwait News on Wednesday. She was given a tour by Public Relations and CSR manager Jana Alnaqeeb and the Kuwait Times team. The tour started with Alnaqeeb providing Mawani with an introduction to the history of Kuwait Times, founded by Yousuf Al-Alyan, and presenting her a framed copy of the inaugural edition.

The tour continued into the editorial department where reporter Ghadeer Ghloum provided an overview of the work that takes place in this section, including writing, translating, editing and page designing. Ghloum also explained the printed reports are transformed into summarized video reports to align with Kuwait Times’ digital vision.

Alnaqeeb then guided Mawani to the archives room, where content creator Yousef Abu Ghazaleh took her on a journey into the past to explore historical news reports. Abu Ghazaleh also prepared a set of questions from the archives, testing Mawani’s information in a fun and entertaining manner, impressing the team with her quick and accurate responses.
