KUWAIT: In line with its comprehensive social responsibility strategy, its commitment to the best Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) practices, and unwavering efforts to support the education sector and encourage Kuwait’s most aspiring students, Burgan Bank recently supported the ceremony held under the patronage of Ahmadi Governorate to honor the top-scoring General Secondary Education graduates across the governorate’s districts.

The event, hosted at the Ahmadi Guest House, was attended by Ahmadi Governor Sheikh Humoud Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, representatives from the Ahmadi Governorate and Burgan Bank, in addition to the 12 honorees and their families. The sponsorship comes as part of the ongoing partnership between Burgan Bank and the Ahmadi Governorate, which aims to develop Ahmadi’s community and support its members’ growth and success through multiple campaigns and events.

Sheikh Humoud Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah congratulated the outstanding students, confirming that, "This honoring ceremony is part of the Governorate’s commitment to supporting our sons and daughters of Ahmadi across all stages of education. We must all continue to encourage students to spare no effort to achieve academic excellence and realize their dreams and aspirations within their fields of study and work.”

The Governor of Ahmadi urged the honorees to uphold their commitment to academic achievement and continue down this path of success throughout their graduation studies, praising their perseverance and their families’ unwavering support. He also expressed confidence in the students’ abilities to achieve more success in the future, where they realize more dreams and contribute effectively to their community and the development of Kuwait. The Governor extended his thanks to Burgan Bank, noting the Bank’s valuable efforts in supporting and sponsoring outstanding students, which isn’t new to Kuwait’s banking sector or Burgan Bank, which continues to contribute proactively to the different events and activities as part of its comprehensive social responsibility strategy.

During the ceremony, the Ahmadi Governor and Burgan Bank representatives honored the 12 outstanding graduates who completed different streams of study – arts, science, or religious studies –awarding them cash gift cards. The honorees were led by Mariam Erhamah, with an impressive 99.78 percent score, followed by Hassan Al-Enezi (99.77 percent), Doha Al-Hajeri (99.75 percent), and Ghadir Al-Otaibi (99.70 percent) – holders of the science major. In the arts stream, the top students include Ghazlan Al-Azemi (98.36 percent), Maha Al-Zoubi (97.79 percent), Reem Al-Azemi (97.78 percent), Noha Al-Hajery (97.71 percent), Ragahad Al-Mutairi (97.67 percent), and Nawwaf Al-Azemi (97.57 percent). Lastly, in the stream of religious studies, the ceremony awarded Fawwaz Al-Azemi (97.16 percent) and Rashed Mishaal (95.91 percent).
