KUWAIT: Three trucks loaded with 60 tons of dates left Kuwait yesterday for Yemen through Saudi Arabia to distribute dates for the people of Yemen to mark the advent of holy month of Ramadan. The trucks, carrying 15,000 boxes of dates, are part of Kuwait's assistance for the Yemeni people which began since outbreak of the conflict in the Arab country, Maha Al-Barjas, Secretary General of Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS), said in a statement to the press.
She said KRCS would continue its assistance with the aim of improving living conditions of the Yemeni people as well as carrying out development and medical projects to alleviate their suffering. KRCS, said Barjas, supported hospitals, provided food and health aid, as well as providing education for orphans. - KUNA
