KUWAIT: Three people were killed and another was left in a critical condition following an accident reported yesterday at dawn in Kuwait. Ahmadi firemen rushed to the scene following a report about a car crash on King Fahad Road. They found out that the accident left three people, including a man and two children, dead, while another man was rushed to hospital with severe injuries. An investigation was opened to reveal the cause of the accident.
Meanwhile, firemen extinguished a blaze reported in a mall under construction in the Sabah Al-Ahmad Sea City yesterday. No injuries were reported. Khairan, Zour, Mina Abdullah and backup fire stations participated in fighting the blaze which covered a 1,000-square-meter area, Kuwait Fire Force said.
In other news, drugs control department officers arrested a man with 10 kg of chemical derivatives and 100 gm of shabu. An undercover agent was sent to buy drugs from the suspect and the arrest was made during the exchange. When the suspect's residence was searched, the abovementioned amounts of drugs were found. The suspect confessed to trading in drugs. He was sent to concerned authorities.
