If I was the airport's manager, I would be ashamed of being at the helm of this important facility while it is in such bad shape
It will take years before we see a solution to end the sad and miserable situation of the rundown Kuwait International Airport's facilities. If I was the airport's manager, I would be ashamed of being at the helm of this important facility while it is in such bad shape. Inappropriate parking lots, careless security, dirty bathrooms, poor treatment and everything else makes it impossible for a person who respects his country to accept such negligence, because the project to establish a new building may take two to three years to be finished
The issue is urgent and requires a personal intervention from the Prime Minister, to give out orders to the interior and finance ministries, customs, ports officials along with any other concerned bodies to find solutions for the airport's situation. On arriving at the airport few days ago, I was surprised to see the glass door that leads to the airport from the plane was closed, and this has happened twice before. We waited for 10 minutes before the security man arrived and opened it.
The men's washroom was surprisingly dirty with water all over the floor, because of which I could not relieve myself. Being a prostate patient, I found it necessary to take pictures and videos of that bathroom and post it on Twitter. Despite of the complaints, the officials have not come up with any solutions and people are expected to remain silent until the new terminal building is completed in some years. - Translated by Kuwait Times from Al-Qabas
