KUWAIT: Minister of Education and Minister of Higher Education Dr Bader Al-Essa dismissed rumors spreading in social media that the ministry stopped hiring non-Kuwaiti teachers. The ministry is still hiring people in any job it needs regardless of nationality of teacher because "the important thing is the professionalism and performance," Essa said in a statement yesterday. He was reacting to social media rumors that the ministry stopped hiring of Saudi teachers.

Essa expressed admiration in the Saudi teachers for their professionalism. He explained that there were enough staff in certain school grades and specialties, so the ministry would not hire any person from any nationality, even if this person was a Kuwaiti citizen. - KUNA
