KUWAIT: Residency and passports detectives arrested a police captain, who was found to be a Syrian as his Kuwaiti nationality is forged. A security source said the Syrian had been holding Kuwait nationality since 1988, when his father bribed a citizen KD 12,000 to have his son registered in his name, so he became an original Kuwaiti and benefited from all advantages. The son then enrolled in a police college until he reached the rank of captain in the special forces. The officer's father was caught along with the involved citizen and they were sent to the prosecution following the arrest of the officer.

Kuwaiti swindled

A citizen told Sabahiya police that a contracting company swindled him out of nearly a quarter of a million dinars. A security source said the company offered the citizen to invest money in a piece of land.
