KUWAIT: Kuwait Telecommunications Company- stc, a world-class digital leader providing innovative services and platforms to customers enabling the digital transformation in Kuwait, announced that it has concluded its platinum sponsorship of the 2020 Maker Faire. stc sponsored the exhibition for the second year in a row which was held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, at the Kuwait International Fairground in Mishref.
Within its framework to support and encourage the youth to explore their creativity, innovation and curiosity, stc stressed in a closing statement, that it will continue to support such initiatives that bring to light new ideas and concepts that benefit the development of society, especially in the field of technology with stc being a pioneer in digital transformation in the market today. stc's role in supporting platforms similar to the Maker Faire fall in line with the Company's goal to enable the digital transformation in Kuwait and drive sustainable technology.
The Company also said that sponsoring this initiative provided stc with a gateway to interact with the makers, evaluate their work and provide them with constructive feedback on how to enhance their products and pursue their goals. stc representatives that attended the faire got a chance to offer participants their expert opinion on overcoming challenges and further expanding the makers concepts to market.

Jasem expressed her gratitude and appreciation to the active participation and level of engagement witnessed by both visitors and makers, which led to the successful turnout. She also thanked Kuwait Investment Company (KIC) for annually organizing and hosting a globally renowned platform that attracts participants from all around the region, as well as the meticulous organization of the event.
Kuwait is the first GCC country to exclusively host the faire, gathering tech enthusiasts, educators, creators and inventors to display their creations and share their talents to the public. Since it was held during the month of February, the Maker Faire's celebrations were aided by the county's celebration of it National and Liberation Days.
