Have you ever found yourself in a scenario where someone took something that was yours, but no one trusted your word? Well, can you imagine that happening in a country? That’s precisely what Palestine has faced since the Zionist regime’s occupation of Palestinian land. Yet, the Palestinian people experienced the world turning their backs on them and neglect. The Zionist entity has oppressed Palestine, prevented it from participating in external relations, and has been the center of false rumors.

Even after numerous retaliations, the Zionist regime seems unchanged. Yet, just as with someone whose property was stolen from them, Palestine has begun a new wave of retaliation. On October 7, 2023, Palestinian militant groups launched a surprise attack on the Zionist entity. After years of succumbing to Zionist authorities, Hamas announced their “Operation Al-Aqsa Flood”.

Over 5,000 rockets were launched from the Gaza Strip at the Zionist entity within 20 minutes at 06:30 am local time on October 7, 2023, as a response to the Zionists occupying Palestinian land for an extended period. Consequently, after years of retaliating, this one appears to have caught the Zionists by surprise. In addition, the Palestinian ministry of foreign affairs has stated that ending the Zionist occupation is the only way for peace and is the only way to guarantee “security, stability and peace”.

“We have repeatedly warned of the consequences of a deadlock in the political horizon and not granting the Palestinian people their legitimate right to self-determination and their state. We have also warned of the consequences of the daily provocations and attacks, the continued terrorism of settlers and occupation forces, and the raids on Al-Aqsa Mosque and Christian and Islamic holy sites,” it said.

“What guarantees security, stability and peace in our region is ending the Zionist occupation of the land of the State of Palestine, with East Jerusalem as its capital, along the 1967 lines, and recognizing the people’s right to independence and sovereignty,” it added. Palestinian individuals were not created to succumb to other authorities — Palestinians are humans. Palestinians deserve their land, their home, their State of Palestine.

The Palestine crisis has been dragging on for too long, and the recent events are revolutionary and changed the perspective of many people. Regarding the continuous neglect and pain the citizens have gone through, what happened this week will have an impact in restoring Palestine as it once was.
