KUWAIT: Kuwait Humanitarian Friendship Society Chairman Ahmad Al-Sarraf announced launching a campaign to help kidney patients in need in Kuwait. The society obtained a license from the Ministry of Social Affairs to organize the campaign, entitled "Khairna fi Kuwaitna" (our welfare is in our Kuwait) between the third and 30th of October, Sarraf said.
Meanwhile, the society's Director General Khaled bin Sabt highlighted the importance of supporting the campaign "that aims at helping more than 1,000 kidney dialysis for Kuwaiti and expatriate patients in various hospitals."
Bin Sabt urged the public to support the campaign and help relieve the burden of costly fees on needy patients, saying that it is "a matter of life and death for those who suffer renal failure." He added that donation of any amount can help in the treatment of kidney patients and reduce their suffering.
Donors are welcomed through contacting the society directly or making donation online on the society's website, Bin Sabt said, reminding that the society does not deduct any amount from the donations as all proceeds go for those who are in need.
